Pauline

Pauline

Pauline is a curator, editor and project manager living in France. She’s been involved in some incredible high profile contemporary art projects and works to bridge the gap between Aotearoa New Zealand and the wider art world. She loves what she does, but she needs to travel for it.

My partner and I bike to work but I have to fly for work from time to time or to visit family overseas, so I’ve been looking for something like GoodyGood to help address my climate impact for a while. What I appreciate most is that I trust the people who research and choose the projects to support and that it’s accessible to me as an individual.

Janine and Jason

Janine and Jason

Based in Wellington, New Zealand, but often found camping and enjoying the outdoors, Janine and Jason want to do more for the environment so they can keep enjoying it.

We got a cargo bike for local trips, which is loads of fun, but Jason needs to have a ute for work — he’s an arborist. So we’ve offset Jason’s ute with GoodyGood, which is better than doing nothing at all.

Emma

Emma

Emma is a former broadcaster who lives in Naarm/Melbourne and is studying to be a Clinical Psychologist. Uni's an hour away by bike, so they made the tough decision to get a car this year. They also rescued a couple of stray kittens, Tomtom and Miloš, who were born under the house during a lockdown.

I've always been fairly mindful of my carbon footprint, I cycle most places and I've been vegan for longer than anyone cares to remember. It's a relief to know that GoodyGood is helping me reduce the impact the car and kittens are having on the environment.

Dave

Dave

Dave is a Wellington-based analyst, sports fan and foodie. He and his partner recently moved from being city-dwellers towards the suburbs. They do what they can to reduce their environmental impact – from installing compost bins and worm farms, to eating from the vegetable garden they established – but still enjoy some of life's guilty pleasures, including travelling, fine dining, and even having pets. They continue to strive towards a balance of living the lifestyle they want whilst having the smallest impact they can.

I try to make decisions that will reduce my climate impact, but the realities of the modern world mean that even by adjusting our diets, using public transport options, reducing energy usage and generally doing what we can to try to live more sustainably there is still more to be done. Offsetting through GoodyGood means I know that even when I'm not perfect I'm ensuring my personal impact is reduced in a simple and accessible way that will have a real world impact
